OPEN HOLE

Resistivity Tool

Phased Induction Tool (PIT):

This versatile tool operates effectively in various drilling fluids, including air and low-salinity salt mud systems. It accurately measures formation resistivity, helping to identify potential hydrocarbon zones and differentiate between fluid-filled and solid formations.

Dual Laterolog (DLT):

Designed for high-salinity environments, the DLT provides precise resistivity assessments in challenging conditions. Its dual measurements offer insights into resistivity at multiple depths, aiding in the differentiation of water-saturated and hydrocarbon-saturated zones.

Both tools can be integrated with other logging instruments, enhancing data interpretation and enabling informed decisions on well completion and production strategies.

Gamma Ray

  • Open Hole Gamma Ray (GR) logging is a crucial tool for formation evaluation in the oil and gas industry. It measures natural gamma radiation emitted from formations, aiding geologists in lithology identification and estimating shale volume.
  • GR logs distinguish between shale-rich and clean reservoirs, identify reservoir zones, and assist in facies analysis and stratigraphic correlation.
  • This non-intrusive, versatile technique provides real-time data that supports informed decision-making regarding hydrocarbon potential and field development planning.
